Designers and artists have been finding more and more creative uses for powder coated graphics and at Direct Embed we work hard to support their inspiration.
World famous artist Sarah Sze, known for her kinetic sculpture, and leading metal fabricator Amuneal asked Direct Embed to apply powder coating to a landmark sculpture at La Guardia Airport. Specifically, they wanted metal to mimic the appearance of torn paper. After much experimentation Direct Embed succeeded and then worked closely with Amuneal to deliver dozens of individual elements that would exactly fit into the complex sculpture.
